The Jewels of St. Joseph Historic Homes Tour set for Sept 22nd

The Historic St. Joseph Foundation will be hosting the 4th annual tour of historic homes "The Jewels of St. Joseph" next month.

This year's tour will include 6 historic homes and 1 historic church from three neighborhoods: Hall Street, Museum Hill, and Krug Park. Attendees will also get a chance to enter a raffle to take home some historical items.

President of the Historic St. Joseph Foundation, Isobel McGowan, says to enhance the experience, volunteers will be dressed in period clothing.

"Some of the volunteers at the historic homes are dressed in period costumes and that helps to give it just a little more enjoyment for some of the tourists to come and see people dressed in the costumes of the day."

The Jewels of St. Joseph Historic Homes Tour is set for Sunday, September 22nd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  All proceeds benefit the non-profit historic St. Joseph Foundation.
